Environmental kitchen specialist, Filta Group, will be joining the panel at the European FOG Summit in Liverpool on 18 and 19 October.

Bringing water and hospitality together for a sustainable FOG (Fats, Oils and Grease) future, the European FOG Summit returns this year to drive collaborative conversations across the industry.

Key discussions include the challenges and solutions for capturing FOG at source, how water and hospitality can work better together, and exploring the untapped opportunities for the circular economy.

Ed Palin, industry expert and director at FOG Specialists Filta Group, will be joining colleagues and peers from across the water and hospitality industries on the panel for ‘The Great Debate’, looking at experiences in foodservice and how to overcome barriers to correct FOG management.

He said: “FOG is a huge issue and should be a major consideration for everybody in hospitality right now. I’m looking forward to joining the discussion, and in particular highlighting the role that equipment can play in removing FOG from wastewater before it reaches the sewage network. Not to mention creating new revenue streams for operators in what remains a challenging economic climate.”
